Civil Wedding Ceremonies on the Isle of Wight

Your wedding day is a celebration of your unique love story. As a professional civil celebrant, I am dedicated to creating ceremonies that reflect your personalities, values and vision for the future. My approach is warm, supportive and flexible, ensuring your wedding ceremony is a joyful and memorable occasion for you and your loved ones.

What to Expect

  • Personal Consultation: I will meet with you to discuss your relationship, how you met, your journey together and your hopes for your special day. This helps me craft a ceremony that feels authentic and meaningful to you.

  • Bespoke Ceremony Script: Together, we will design a ceremony that may include readings, music, personal vows, symbolic rituals and the exchange of rings. You can choose to include as many or as few elements as you wish and the tone can be formal, light-hearted or anywhere in between.

  • Vows and Promises: I can help you write personal vows, or you can choose traditional promises. If you’d like friends or family to contribute readings or music, these can be included.

  • Declaration and Pronouncement: The ceremony concludes with your formal declaration and the celebrant’s pronouncement of your union, followed by the signing of your commemorative certificate if you wish.

Legal Information

To be legally married in the UK, the legal registration of marriage must be carried out by a registrar at a licensed venue. A civil celebrant can conduct your personalised ceremony either before or after you complete the legal process.

Many couples choose to have a simple legal signing at the Register Office and celebrate with a bespoke ceremony at a venue of their choice, which can be indoors or outdoors.

If you need advice on the process, or help coordinating with a registrar, I am happy to guide you through each step.
